Typically what happens is the inside of the pumpkin, commonly known as the “guts,” tend to be a bit slimy and gooey. Once you put the remnants down the drain, it begins to harden and can potentially cause a major issue in your sink and drain. Additionally, putting seeds down your drain can damage your garbage disposal pretty easily.
