If your basement flooded due to a storm, broken water heater, backed up drain, failed sump pump or other appliance, don’t worry, call Len The Plumber! At the first sight of a flooded basement, we advise that you do not go into the basement or touch anything until the electricity has been turned off because of the possibility of electric shock.
Depending on the source of your flood, sewage contamination is a possibility. For this reason it’s a good idea to minimize contact with your skin. Protect yourself by wearing gloves and rubber boots.
And, as always, if you smell gas leave the house immediately. Contact your local fire department to come out and assess the situation.
Our plumbing technicians service Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, and Charles County.
